Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School Giving Tuesday

At Cheremoya, every Tuesday is Giving Tuesday. We have adopted this mantra to foster the stewardship of our Cheremoya family and community. Every Tuesday, we offer creative ways for families to get involved. Participate when you can and do what you can. Small things can make a big impact!

1st Tuesday of the month:

Take Out Tuesday

Join us on the first Tuesday of every month at Fresh Brothers, and they will donate 20% of your purchase when you mention Cheremoya.

2nd Tuesday of the month:

Toss It To Us Tuesday

Donate your too-small, gently used clothing items and any condition sneakers (old and smelly is ok!) for recycling.

3rd Tuesday of the month:

Teacher Tuesday

Show your gratitude to our brilliant Cheremoya Teachers. Do something kind for your child's teacher today. Write a note, bake them cookies, bring them their favorite snack, or buy them something from their wishlist. Any act of kindness counts!

4th Tuesday of the month:

Talk To Us Tuesday

Meet us after school at Ferndell Park from 2-3pm for a playdate and chat. Everyone is welcome!

5th Tuesday of the month:

Teamwork Tuesday

Teamwork Tuesday is a day to come together and help to make Cheremoya shine. Help us clean up, tidy closets, tighten banners, or other projects. Make sure you are an approved Cheremoya Volunteer to participate!

Universal Transitional Kindergarten is free and available for all children who have  had their 4th birthday on/by September 1 of the 2024-2025 school year.

Since 1915, Cheremoya Elementary has been serving the extended Hollywood community—providing a nurturing environment for students as they begin their academic journey and embark on the pathways of critical thought that will define their future. Located off the 101 freeway and directly below the Hollywood Sign, Cheremoya is the home public school to UTK-5th grade children of the Beachwood Canyon, Bronson Canyon, and The Oaks neighborhoods. We acknowledge that Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School resides on the ancestral lands of the Tongva and the Chumash.
